Three Of My Favorite FundRaiser Training Classes

Three Of My Favorite FundRaiser Training Classes

There’s no doubt that FundRaiser Software is a robust program. As with any program, even if you’ve been using it for a while, there are always new tips and tricks to learn. This is where our wonderful training department can help out.

As part of my training here at FundRaiser support, I attended the training courses (and watched our training videos) that we offer to our customers. While I found each of them informative and helpful in deepening my understanding of the software, I wanted to share with you my three favorite classes.

Groupings

Within the Groupings class, you’ll learn not just the basics of groupings, but also some of the advanced features, including the use of the AND/OR function. Groupings provide the backbone of effective donor management. By being able to create different groups of donors based on criteria, you can pin point your donor communications to the exact audience you wish to receive them.

Coding and Spare Fields

Codes are a way to record the non-giving aspects of your donors. Therefore, proper coding and the use of spare fields will help you connect with and get the most out of your donor database. Because the capacity for inputting category codes into FundRaiser is nearly infinite, it’s good to have an overview. The training covers each of the codes that are available within FundRaiser for gifts and donors, and it may give you an idea of how to code the individuals within your database.

Word Processing and Mail Merge

Finally, it’s no secret that great communication with donors can really help an organization thrive. The ability within FundRaiser to merge information into a letter creates an easy to use process to send individualized letters to your donors. This class will help you craft the perfect letter and become more familiar with the merge fields.

Honestly, I love all of our training classes and videos. They’re all very helpful for those just getting started with FundRaiser, as well as those looking to pick up a few tips and tricks along the way.
