A: An often-asked question is "Can I put FundRaiser on my home computer as well as the one at the office?" -- and the answer is YES.

Now, this is different from the policies of most software companies, which require that you buy additional copies for each computer on which you want to install the software. But we decided, on this as on other points, to be different.

When you buy a FundRaiser program, you receive an "organizational license", which means you may install FundRaiser on as many computers as you wish within your organization. All we ask is that you install these extra copies for use by your own organization.

So, you may install it on any number of computers in your office, you can take it to your home computer, you can have volunteers or staff members install it on their home computers. (Do check the Help system and documentation for directions on how to keep your data current among several computers, if you do this.)

Why do we do this? Well, not just to be different... it's partly altruistic: we know that many smaller nonprofits struggle financially, and this is one way to help. Also, it's realistic. Some will install it on several computers anyway, whether from ignorance or overwhelming need, and we'd rather make it simple and guilt-free. There's enough guilt in the world already.
